Hokkaido Trip 12 - Kaisen Ajidokoro Suzuya Shokudo (Hakodate Asaichi, Tokyu Stay Breakfast)

On my trip to Hakodate, I stayed at the Tokyu Stay Hakodate Asaichi Tou-no-Yu and chose a plan that included breakfast, so I had a seafood bowl at the Hakodate morning market for breakfast.

 

On the first day, I went to Suzuya Shokudo located right in front of Tokyu Stay Hakodate Asaichi Tou no Yu.

At Suzuya Shokudo
1) Choice of 5-color Kaisen-don (with side dish buffet)
2) Kaisen donburi (choice of 3 kinds)
3) Sashimi set meal
(4) Morning set meal (grilled fish, sashimi, etc.)
You can choose from the following
The price of the 5-color Kaisen-don (with side dish buffet) is 1,800 yen, so the other menus are adjusted to a similar price.

The entrance to Suzuya Shokudo is right in front of Tokyu Stay Hakodate Asaichi Tou no Yu.

The restaurant is operated by marine products wholesaler Funaoka Shoten, and can be entered from the marine products wholesaler side of Hakodate Station.

The restaurant can accommodate up to 120 people (when reserved), but due to Corona and the time of our visit, there seemed to be plenty of room to seat us.

I checked Suzuya Shokudo and found that they are famous for their "side dish buffet," so I decided to have a choice of five-color kaisendon with side dish buffet.

The side dishes included local specialties such as Matsumae pickles and appetizers.

I had never actually eaten Matsumaezuke before, so this was my first time trying it, and I realized that it contains kazunoko mushrooms, which is not my favorite flavor.

It is meant to be a tasting of the marine products wholesaler Funaoka Shoten, so if you like it, you may want to buy some for yourself at the back (front?) of the store. If you like it, you may buy it for yourself at the store in the back (front?).

You can choose from the following 5-color Kaisen Donburi.

1) Fresh sea urchin, 2) Unwrapped crab, 3) Unwrapped salmon, 4) Squid, 5) Salmon roeve, 6) Hokkai shrimp, 7) Scallop, 8) Negitoro, 9) Tobikko, 10) Salmon roe


However, an additional charge of 440 yen is required for raw sea urchin. Therefore, we had to choose 5 types of raw sea urchin from 9 types and then order raw sea urchin or not.

Since we were going to the trouble, we decided to add raw sea urchin to the 6-color seafood bowl.

Scallops are delicious in Hokkaido, so you can't miss scallops in a kaisendon.


I introduced Suzuya Shokudo, which I visited for breakfast at Tokyu Stay Kokodate Asaichi, and next time I would like to introduce Kikuyo Shokudo Honten, which I visited on the third day.
