Hokkaido Trip 10 - Tokyu Stay Hakodate Asaichi Tou no Yu (1) Lobby and Rooms

スポンサードリンク

We have visited Hakodate and Matsumae, the final destination of the cherry blossom front as it moves northward.

I will report on my trip to Hakodate in several parts.

First, I would like to introduce "Tokyu Stay Hakodate Asaichi Tou no Yu" where I stayed for two nights.

Tokyu Stay Hakodate Asaichi Tonoyu is a facility of the Tokyu Stay brand of extended-stay hotels, which just had its grand opening on April 26, 2021.

Since the hotel offers both simplified services and enhanced facilities for long-stay guests, we will only cover the lobby and rooms in this article.

Tokyu Stay Hakodate Asaichi Tou no Yu is located across from the entrance to Mashu Maru, just past Hakodate Asaichi from Hakodate Station.

Parking is available next to the hotel and costs 1,000 yen per night, but coin-operated parking between Hakodate Asaichi and Hakodate Station is 500 yen, so it may be cheaper to park there.

The main entrance is on the Hakodate Asaichi side.

As soon as you enter the entrance, you will see an objet d'art in the shape of a map of Hakodate City. The front entrance is located on the Hakodate Asaichi side.

The front desk is on the left as you enter.

There are three front desks, although there were not many people, but since it was just after the grand opening that day, I was not used to it and had to wait in line for a while.

We were briefed about the facilities, etc., but they emphasized that there is no exchange: replenishment of amenities, etc.

Entering the main entrance, the lobby is on the right.

In the back is an ice cream store, "Gift from the North," which can be purchased either from the hotel lobby or from the outside.

Although the photo above is small, there is a coffee machine next to the "Gift from the North" and guests can use it free of charge.

Across from the reception desk is the elevator hall, and softeners and disposable toiletries for use in the room are located in the lobby hall.

When we took the elevator to the floor where we stayed, we found an objet d'art representing a seagull flying (I forgot to take a picture of it)

(The room)

We stayed in a Comfort Double room on this day.

The room is a regular double room with a refrigerator and other appliances.

A microwave oven and kettle are located on the right side of the entrance.

We stayed for two consecutive nights and were able to use the microwave for dinner at Hasegawa Store and Seicomart.

There was a drum-type washer/dryer, but we did not use it since we only stayed 2 nights.

However, on the second day, I found out that I had been told at the front desk the day before that there was no exchange: replenishment of amenities, etc....

Since there are outdoor baths and other bathing facilities on the rooftop, we use towels, but no exchange = wash them by yourself in the washing machine (I wanted this kind of explanation).

If you are staying for consecutive nights, I would recommend putting towels and other sanitary items in the washer/dryer and pressing the switch before leaving.

The room was not a corner room, so we could not see the Mashu Maru, but it was on the Mt. Hakodate side, so we could see Mt. Hakodate and Hakodate Bay.

In this article, I have introduced the hotel lobby and guest rooms. In the next article, I will introduce the breakfast and the open-air bath and lounge that came as part of the package.
